PORTRAIT

The Customer Business Manager has the key accountability for customer performance  against plan and will often play the lead on all operational aspects of the customer interface. They must have good commercial acumen and be in control of the key customer
financials at all times. They will have a strong understanding of how the customer works and how to constructively influence to promote the business agenda. They will be confident in taking robust positions directly with customer contacts, but equally be able to preserve strong relationships. Prior to this role, they will have had previous account management and (probably) regional & field experience.
