Job Title Director of Sales – London (Enotria World Wines)
Location Flexible
 

Purpose              

To generate a strategy and deliver against new business objectives to grow the business critical London performance.

To lead, develop and inspire a team of 14 account managers to over perform across the London team

To ensure achievement of budgeted Margin and Volume.

To develop world class commercial competencies within team through strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.

To generate the title of the ‘Go To’ wine company in London

 

Context

London is ‘business critical’ to the success of the Enotria business delivering over a 1/3rd of the turnover for the total on-trade team.

The business has been historically strong with key relationships in the restaurant and hotel sectors of London.  In the last 2 years the London performance though strong has not grown as fast as other areas of the on-trade and we need to step change our thinking within the Capital to continue to deliver growth.

The person will need to be a great leader who is focused, tenacious, inventive and passionate to make growth a reality.

 

Key Outputs

To create strategy for unlocking new business within London whilst holding our solid foundation and then delivering success against agreed plan.

Deliver motivated, passionate and highly capable account management sales team through strong development plans and on-going coaching

To deliver and exceed London team budget  whilst growing average Margin Per Case across London

Maintain & update forecasts weekly

To manage and deliver team overhead cost within budget for London team

To work with On-trade Sales Director to challenge the current strategy and build sensible sustainable business plan

To generate relevant activation and partnerships within London that build company awareness out with our heartland areas – become the ‘go to’ London Wine company..

To ensure strong compliance within London team in reporting of targeting accounts through internal electronic reporting system

Experience (priority order)                                               

Minimum of 3 years experience of managing a successful Regional sales / National Sales team within or outside London.  Does not necessarily have to be in the Wine Trade but Drinks experience a must.

Demonstrate strong Leadership, coaching, focus and motivation qualities to deliver high performance sales team

Demonstrate creative ideas to engage team an trade customers whilst benefiting the Enotria business in London

Demonstrate strong commercial expertise

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the London arena  and demonstrate relationships with  the key influencers within the sector

Demonstrate Wine knowledge to WSET advanced level
