JOB
To provide operational leadership to the manufacturing organisation of the Genius business.
To provide strategic direction to the Genius Executive on manufacturing.
KEY TASKS
- To lead, develop and motivate the Manufacturing teams.
- To lead manufacturing operations and report results to an agreed framework and timeline.
- To design and implement the company manufacturing strategy to ensure optimum quality is delivered and financial and operational KPIs are met.
- To lead continuous improvement programmes and introduces best practice in the manufacturing area.
- To take responsibility for the quality, safety and efficiency of all finished free-from products (and gluten plus) and ensure absolute compliance with all applicable specifications, standard operating procedures etc.
- To be the Genius nominated Director and assume responsibility for overseeing all aspects of health and safety in relation to all employees.
- To direct capital improvement programme.
- To embrace innovation and work closely with the Founder, NPD, and Commercial team to bring quality, new products to profitable commercial sale.
- To operate and contribute as part of the Genius Executive both with the operational agenda and also three year planning.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- First hand, recent and relevant experience in senior manufacturing management and leadership at both operational and strategic level.
- The ability to lead and direct multi-site operations.
- An effective communicator with excellent experience of both internal and external, stakeholder management.
- Cross functional relationship building and working together as one business team
- The ability to motivate a team & deliver through people.
- A strong leader who demonstrates commitment and integrity.
- An individual who can effectively track and measure performance; both operationally and for the team.
- A deep understanding of the organisation’s financial performance and how the manufacturing organisation
impacts upon this.
- A “sleeves rolled up/can do”attitude.
- An individual who appreciates and understands the importance of unique business cultures and how to translate this effectively into the manufacturing arena.
- A quest for continuous improvement and best practice.
- First-hand experience of embedding/working as part of a business that employs a best in class approach to health and safety culture.
