Purpose of the Job:
- To ensure the provision of analytical actuarial services on product development and channel compensation to the local business unit
- To own and manage the actuarial product development process
- To provide relationship management to business units by providing analyses and recommendations on product and channel developments
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide actuarial investigations, interpretations and explanations on product development to enable product managers, CMO and Product Management Committee (PMC) to understand causes and solutions to business challenges
- Ensure product pricing complies with risk management policies and provide support to PMC on analysis and pricing process
- Develop and recommend actuarial pricing assumptions
- Provide actuarial investigations, interpretations and explanations on channel finances to ensure channel heads understand causes and solutions to business challenges
- Agree project schedules and monitor technical performance of the Regional Actuarial Services
- Review insurance calculations
- Lead, manage and train junior staff
Experience & Qualifications:
- A qualified actuary with at least 7 years experience
- Excellent communication skills to all levels of technical and non-technical staff
- Good negotiation and organization skills
- Project management experience preferred
- Previous experience managing a team
- Good English verbal and written skills
